Church Leadership

Pastor Bill Morris
The Pastor's role is to lead the Church by providing Godly teaching, Godly example, and Godly wisdom.
I believe the Christian church, as the Bride of Christ (Eph 5:25, Rev 19:7), and as the “pillar and support of the truth,” (1 Tim 3:15), is the most important institution in the world. Jesus died for the church, is building the church, and is returning for His church. I consider it a privilege to serve Jesus through Lyman First Baptist Church. One of the greatest joys I have is to see people grow in their understanding of, and love for the Lord Jesus Christ as they participate in the life of the local church.
I hope you will join us for this great journey!

Worship Pastor Dillon Hollifield
The Worship Pastor's job is to lead our musical worship to God.
“My position as Worship Pastor at First Lyman affords me one of the greatest opportunities: to lead God’s people into His presence and proclaim the Gospel through word and song! Here at Lyman, we believe in multi-generational worship where the gospel is center and all of God’s people, regardless of age, worship in one accord. My hope for you as you join us is you encounter God and experience His love through the people here at Lyman.”
Dillon is a graduate of North Greenville University receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Church Music and a graduate of Liberty University receiving a Master of Arts in Music and Worship. By his side is his wife Megan, who is the Director of Music and Worship Studies at North Greenville University. Together they offer over 20 years of music and worship leading experience. They are always on the run with their two sons, Huxton and Hampton, and enjoy spending time with family, friends, and their church family!

Family Pastor Joey Bodie
The Family Pastor works directly with families and children to provide Godly influence in their lives.
I'm a debtor of costly, eternal grace. His gospel has become for me His power for salvation, and all I’ve contributed is the sin that made it all necessary.
The gospel comes to us full of grace and truth. As Timothy Keller has written, “We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe, yet at the very same time we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope.” Have you experienced the Jesus of the Bible- full of grace and truth?
At First Baptist Lyman, it’s my passion to equip families in applying the gospel to a thousand life circumstances. Does the grace and truth of the gospel have any bearing on your marriage? Do you see yourself—rather than your youth pastor—as the primary disciple-maker in your child’s life? May our ministries partner with parents so that they are acknowledged, trained, and held accountable for the spiritual formation of their children to the glory of God!
